TU Dresden has been successful with three funded European Fellowships in the 2022 call of the Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship program.

About the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships:

The fellowships enable excellent PostDocs to conduct their own research projects and they have a strong focus on international mobility. It is a key aspect that researchers should not have spent more than twelve months in the country of their host institution in the three years preceding the call deadline.

The successful fellows:

Dr. Avijit Saha aims to develop efficient Near Infrared-LEDs which are going to complement and advance current technology. (project: NIRLUMIN - RoHS compliant, high luminescence, heterostructure nanocrystals for near infrared LEDs and bioimaging, Supervisor: apl. Prof. Dr. Nikolai Gaponik, Chair of Physical Chemistry)

Dr. Melissa Sanabria’s goal is to advance the understanding of the linguistics of our genome via Natural language processing techniques. Currently, Dr. Sanabria is a Maria Reiche Postdoctoral Fellowship awardee. (project: GROVER - Natural Language Processing to learn the language of the Human Genome, Supervisor: Dr. Anna Poetsch, Biotechnology Center (BIOTEC))

Dr. Dinga Wonanke aims to provide a conceptual understanding on the origin of the flexibility of Metal-organic frameworks (MOF). (project: FlexiMOFs-2 - A Design Principle for Prediting Flexible Metal-Organic Frameworks, supervisor: Prof. Dr. Thomas Heine, Chair of Theoretical Chemistry)
