NETWORK STUDIO Astrophysics brings together international researchers
On September 29 and 30, TU Dresden hosted the fourth international NETWORK STUDIO. This time, the focus was on astrophysics. Participants included researchers from across Germany who are already working at, or will soon be working at, the German Center for Astrophysics (DZA), as well as researchers from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
The event was officially opened by Angela Rösen-Wolff, Vice-Rector Research at TU Dresden, and Pieter Ballon, Vice-Rector Research at VUB. In impulse sessions introduced by Günther Hasinger, Director of the DZA, participants spent two days discussing topics such as black holes, gravitational waves, and other fundamental questions about our universe.
As is typical for the NETWORK STUDIO format, the deliberately generous breaks provided ample space for lively exchanges. Participants presented new methods, initiated future collaborations, and explored potential joint project ideas.
The NETWORK STUDIO Astrophysics proved to be a great success – and we look forward with excitement to the collaborations, outcomes, and ideas that will emerge from this meeting.
