TU Dresden is official partner of the New European Bauhaus initiative!
TU Dresden has been selected as a new official partner of the New European Bauhaus Initiative!
The New European Bauhaus initiative (NEB) connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces. It calls on all Europeans to imagine and build together a sustainable and inclusive future that is beautiful for our eyes, minds, and souls.
TU Dresden (TUD) brings to the NEB a broad range of research and teaching activities in the faculties of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Science and Engineering, Business and Economics and in the various central units, together with a network of local (DRESDEN-concept), regional and international partners. The aim is to use the NEB partnership to bring new ideas and share knowledge in the co-creation and implementation phase of the NEB. This is an opportunity to actively shape the initiative with the goal to develop and realize a joint vision of a sustainable and inclusive, aesthetically, intellectually and emotionally attractive future with new ways of living and building.
Specifically TUD plans to realize the following activities:
- Establish a sustainability platform within TUD highlighting ongoing activities under the NEB umbrella of TUD and its regional partners;
- Implement sustainability seminars integrated into the mandatory curriculum of international students;
- Initiate a university-wide lecture series on NEB related topics;
- Create links between existing networks associated with TUD and NEB;
- Mobilize research minds towards the goals of NEB, and promote participation in upcoming NEB activities, seminars, pilot projects and goals.
A group of volunteer staff members of TUD has formed to exchange and disseminate ideas about the New European Bauhaus initiative and collaborate on future activities. Past and current TUD activities have been collated in this portfolio.
As the NEB initiative develops further TUD will evaluate and get involved in new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing and funding. All staff members of TUD are welcome to join the efforts and exchange their ideas.
