“The European Research Council and its Grants. An Overview.”
Date: June 10, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Are you ready to take your research to the next level with one of the most prestigious grants in Europe?
If yes, then this online information event provides you with everything you need to know to get started with the European Research Council (ERC) and its various grants.
As one of the world's leading funding institutions dedicated to supporting groundbreaking and innovative research projects the ERC's competitive funding schemes, including Starting, Consolidator, Advanced and Synergy Grants pose attractive opportunities for ambitious frontier research.
These grants are open to individual researchers from all disciplines and provide substantial funding for excellent research projects lasting up to five years. Additionally, the Synergy Grant scheme supports collaborative research by up to four Principal Investigators working together on high-impact projects.
During the event, participants will gain insights into:
- The ERC’s objectives and funding philosophy.
- Eligibility criteria and application requirements.
- Call conditions and necessary documentation.
The session will also feature a presentation by a successful ERC grant applicant, who will share their experiences and tips for preparing a competitive proposal. A Q&A session will follow, offering participants the opportunity to address specific questions.
We encourage all interested researchers to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about ERC funding and how it can support their research ambitions.
