The European Commission has opened the 2020 Call for Proposals for "Innovative Training Networks" (ITN) under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions. The next call deadline is 14 January 2020. (NB: There will be only one deadline in 2020.)

ITNs are divided into three categories:

• European Training Networks (ETN)
• European Industrial Doctorates (EID)
• European Joint Doctorates (EJD)

ITNs support competitively selected joint research training and/or doctoral programmes, implemented by European partnerships of universities, research institutions, and non-academic organisations.

ITNS are open to all topics as well as domains of research and innovation ("bottom-up approach"). The maximum project duration is 4 years. The available total budget of the call 2020 is €530 million.
