EU: New Call for Proposals for the Asylum, Migration, Integration Fund (AMIF)
On 18 January 2017, an information and networking event on the topic "Projects in the field of migration and social change" will take place at the Center for Integration Research at TU Dresden (4 p.m. – 6 p.m., room: SE1-217, Zellescher Weg 22, Seminar building 1).
On 8 December 2016 a new call for proposals for the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) at European level was published.
The present Call for Proposals aims at funding projects in the area of Integration of third-country nationals.
Project applications submitted under the present Call for Proposals must address at least one of the following priorities:
1. Promoting active participation in society overall
Integration goes beyond having a job. Active participation in other aspects of society is equally important, in particular in educational activities and social activities, including for children. Not only does this contribute to the smooth integration of third-country nationals, it also helps to promote a positive image of migration, combat stereotypes, communicate real facts and change the ‘narrative’ on migration.
2. Pre-departure and post-arrival support for the integration of persons in need of international protection who are being relocated within the EU or resettled from a third country

The partner consortium must consist of at least three institutions from two different EU Member States.
The co-financing rate is max. 90%. The requested funding budget must be at least € 450,000 and may not exceed € 750,000.
The maximum duration of the project should not exceed 24 months. The expected project start is supposed to be in Q4/2017.
The call deadline is 28 February 2017 at 17:00 CET. Applications can only be submitted online via the "Participant Portal" of the European Commission.
