The European Commission has updated and published the work programmes of the current EU Research Framework Program Horizon 2020 with calls for 2020. Most parts of the Work Programme have been amended by minor details within existing topics, shifts of budget as well as some new topics and other actions (e.g. prizes, financial instruments).
The most striking newings are in the Societal Challenges work programmes, that include new topics/themes e.g.:
- Food and Natural Resources (SC2)
- Buildings in energy transition (BE4) - Support for policy-driven innovation (SC3)
- Artificial intelligence and security: providing a balanced assessment of challenges and challenges for law enforcement in Europe (SC7)
- Digital Security: Management of Cyber-attacks and other risks (SC7)
