BMBF announcement on the initiation of research projects with North and South America
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has published a notice to promote applications with partners from North and South America within the framework of Horizon 2020. To this end, exploratory and networking activities are financed to support projects such as in the areas of climate protection, the environment, resource efficiency and raw materials.
Science and technology cooperation (North-South America and South America) is of great importance for Germany. The BMBF therefore actively supports the WTC with both regions through various educational and research policy measures. RTD countries are Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico as well as Canada and the USA. In addition, cooperation with Cuba is to be developed step by step.
The funding measure is intended to encourage German applicants to participate in Horizon 2020 together with partners from the above countries. The BMBF thus makes clear that Germany is an important cooperation partner for partners from North and South America within the EU.
