The first Annual Work Programme of the Joint Undertaking Circular Bio-based Europe (CBE JU) has been published! As cooperation between Bio-based Industry Consortiums and the European Union, CBE JU strives to create a strong, resource efficient and competitive bio-based innovation ecosystem that can decrease Europe’s dependency on non-renewable fossil raw materials and mineral resources. Under the umbrella of Horizon Europe, CBE JU thereby supports research and innovation activities in the field of sustainable bio-based solutions - replacing non-renewable fossil resources with waste and sustainably sourced biomass to produce industrial and consumer goods

12 different technological challenges have been identified for innovators to address.
