As part of the European Social Fund Plus 2021-2027 funding, ESF Plus doctoral scholarships will be awarded in an additional application round.
The aim of the ESF doctoral scholarships is to exploit the individual educational potential of academic specialists, especially women, by expanding their skills with regard to a stable, green, sustainable and digital economy in the Free State of Saxony. Academic specialists should gain improved entry opportunities in Saxony's science and economy by qualifying as part of a doctorate.
The funding modalities at a glance:
- Eligible projects: State innovation doctorates, industry doctorates, projects to reconcile family and academic career, combination of industry doctorates and projects to reconcile family and academic career
- Type & duration: Doctoral scholarships up to a duration of four years
- Scope: Basic scholarship of 1,700.00 euros and, if applicable, a monthly child supplement of 100.00 euros per child
- Start: earliest start of funding: January 1, 2025 | A later start can be permitted on the first of each month (deadline project end December 31, 2028 remains!)
- Latest funding end date: December 31, 2028
- Application deadline: June 03, 2024
