Eurostars launches 1st Call in 2026!

The Eurostars program starts with its first call in 2026 with cut-off date on March 19^th, 2026.

The SME funding tool aims at supporting European cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises in R&D projects. The funded joint projects are open-topic and for civil purposes. They aim to develop an innovative product, process or service.

Hard Facts:

Two Countries minimum
coordinator has to be SME
Participation of German Universities (for 120 % funding) when German SME is participating
SMEs have to cover 50 % of the overall project costs
Maximum of German funding of 500 k€ for max. 3 years
close to market, approximate enter to market 2 years after end of project
German funding via Projektträger DLR
2 cut-off dates per year (spring and fall)

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom
