The Eurostars program starts with its second call 2024 with a submission deadline (cut-off) on 12.09.2024. The aim of Eurostars is to support European cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in research and development projects. . The funded joint projects are open-topic and for civil purposes. They aim to develop an innovative product, process or service.

Funding conditions:

• participation of 2 partners from 2 Eurostars countries
• Coordinator has to be an SME
• Participation of German universities (for 120% funding) when German SME is participating
• SMEs must cover 50% of the overall project costs
• Maximum funding for German project participants: 500 k€, for max. 3 years
• Close to the market, expected market entry 2 years after the end of the project
• German funding is provided by the DLR Projektträger
• 2 cut-off dates per year (spring and fall)
