Under the patronage of Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, the European Commission is organizing a pan-European hackathon in cooperation with the EU Member States: The EU vs Virus Challenge. The aim is to connect civil society with innovators, partners and investors from all over Europe in order to jointly develop innovative solutions to the challenges caused by the Corona virus. The hackathon will take place from April 24-26, 2020.

The six areas of the challenge are:

• Health and life
• Business continuity
• Social and political cohesion
• Distance work and education
• Digital finance
• Education (other)

Each of these areas is subdivided into sub-areas, challenges and critical topics.
Individuals and teams can register until April 19, 2020. Anyone interested can register either as a problem solver, mentor or partner.
