The ERA-Net GEOTHERMICA has published its second joint call for proposals.
The aim of the second call is to accelerate and improve the use of geothermally generated heat or geothermal electricity.

Subject areas are:

• Identification and assessment of geothermal resources, reserves and reservoirs
• Geothermal resource development
• Supply and smart integration into the energy system
• Operations

It is a two-stage application procedure. The call for pre-proposals will close on Friday, 13 September 2019.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) will contribute about 2.5 million euros to the funding call.
