As a further reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic, the European Commission launched a call for proposals: "Innovative and rapid health-related approaches to respond to COVID-19 and to deliver quick results for society for a higher level of preparedness of health systems”.

This second round of call for proposals in the health sector is used to implement action 3 from the ERAvsCorona action plan and is intended to complement the first round of call for proposals. Therefore, this call does not explicitly support the development of new diagnostic procedures, therapeutics and vaccines, but rather solutions that are already available should be completed and used in the following five areas:

• Repurposing of manufacturing for vital medical supplies and equipment (IA)

• Medical technologies, Digital tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) analytics to improve surveillance and care at high Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) (IA)

• Behavioural, social and economic impacts of the outbreak response (RIA)

• Pan-European COVID-19 cohorts (RIA)

• Networking of existing EU and international cohorts of relevance to COVID-19 (CSA)

The submission deadline is June 11, 2020.
