Shift2Rail: Call for proposals 2017 now published

Shift2Rail, the Joint Undertaking backed by the European Commission and the rail industry, has pre-published a new call for proposals, endowed with €60.8 million to support innovation in railways. The Call for proposals 2017 will open on 10 January 2017.

In order to be funded, projects will have to demonstrate their ability to increase the quality, reliability and punctuality of rail services while cutting its costs and facilitating cross-border travel.

Deadline for submission of proposals: 30 March 2017

Furthermore, the Shift2Rail joint undertaking (S2R JU) has published its Annual Work Plan 2017.
