IMI2: Topics of 22nd/23rd call for proposals and webinars
The 23rd call for proposals of the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 (IMI2 JU) was published on June 23, 2020. It includes the following topics:
- Returning clinical trial data to study participants within a GDPR compliant and approved framework
- Modelling the impact of monoclonal antibodies and vaccines on the reduction of antimicrobial resistance
- A platform for accelerating biomarker discovery and validation to support therapeutics development for neurodegenerative diseases
- Optimal treatment for patients with solid tumours in Europe through artificial intelligence
- Shortening the path to rare disease diagnosis by using new born genetic screening and digital technologies
- Behavioural model of factors affecting patient adherence.
The total budget for the 23th call is 95 million euros. The application deadline for the first stage ends on September 29, 2020.

You can find a partner for the topics of the 23rd IMI2 call on the IMI partnering platform, which the National Contact Point (NCP) Health in the NCP Life Sciences offers on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Parallel to the 23rd IMI2 call, IMI2 published the 22nd IMI2 call (one-step application process). This is a "restricted call", to which only consortia of IMI2 projects may apply, whose topics were published in the IMI2 calls from 2014 to 2016 and for which the possibility for a later "restricted call" was already published in the Topic text was provided.
