Bone fragility in Diabetes mellitus - EU project „FIDELIO“ researches new therapy concepts
Patients with diabetes mellitus have an increased risk of bone fractures. For this reason, scientists and doctors in the FIDELIO project are researching modern technology and medicines to maintain the bone health of those affected in the long term.
The project „FIDELIO“ is running from 2019 to 2024. The European consortium, which is coordinated by scientists from the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus of the TU Dresden, is funded by the EU under MARIE SKŁODOWSKA-CURIE Actions (Horizon 2020) with a total of 3.8 million Euros. In this framework, 14 ambitious, creative young scientists are trained to tackle the future challenges of an aging society.
