Pre-announcement: 1st call for proposals of the ERA-NET Cofund ACT
The ERA-NET Cofund action "Accelerating CCS technology as a new low-carbon energy vector" ACT (01/2016 - 12/2020) is a transnational collaboration on CO2 Capture and Storage (CCS) technology. ACT targets mainly the energy sector, but will also have benefits for energy intensive industries. Ten European partners are working together in ACT with the ambition to fund world class RD&D and Innovation that can lead to safe and cost effective CCS technology.
The call will ask for project proposals addressing RD&D and innovation projects related to CO2 capture and storage (CCS).
The budget for the call is € 41.2 million.
The call text is not defined yet, but most of the budget will most likely be spent on a few, but large projects addressing the thematic areas below.

The start of the projects is planned for 1st July 2017. Funding will be awarded for a maximum of 3 years.
A two-stage application process is foreseen. The call is expected to open on 07 June 2016, with a closing date for first-stage proposals in August 2016.
Eligible transnational consortia involve at least three entities established in two different EU Member States. The coordinator has to be from an ERA-Net ACT participating country.
