JP on Neurodegenerative Disease Call 2023 is open!
The EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) will launch a new multinational call for proposals for “Large scale analysis of OMICS data for drug-target finding in neurodegenerative diseases”.
The aim of the Call is to improve the understanding of the complex and multifactorial pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases through multi-OMICS and Big Data approaches designed to find new drug targets and target biomarkers for the development of tailored and personalised treatment approaches. Proposals to this call must be ambitious, innovative, multi-disciplinary and multi-national, i.e. include research teams from at least three different countries. They must be hypothesis driven and should have a strong focus on methodology.
Proposals must focus on one or several of the following neurodegenerative diseases:
- Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
- Parkinson’s disease and PD-related disorders
- Prion diseases
- Motor neuron diseases
- Huntington’s disease
- Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA)
- Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)
Timeline and eligibility criteria:
- March 7th, 2023 – pre-proposal submission
- June 27th, 2023 – full-proposal submission
- BMBF funding (20 % overhead on direct costs)
- Funding for transnational joint projects with min three partner from three participating countries
- maximum of six to seven partners
