Academy Prize of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities
The Academy Prize of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities is endowed with 50,000 euros and is awarded for outstanding scientific achievements in the fields of
- the humanities and social sciences
- mathematics and natural sciences
- the life sciences and medicine as well as
- technical sciences.
The Academy Prize is intended to honor scientists whose research achievements open up new horizons, i.e. mark the moment when new and promising paths are taken. There is no age limit.
The selection committee appointed by the Academy's Executive Board asks that suitable proposals be sent by e-mail to Dr. Karin Elisabeth Becker, Head of the President's Office of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, e-mail: becker@bbaw.de by 15 January 2025 at the latest .
Self-applications for the prize are not possible.

- an overview of the ten most important publications.
Only when a candidate is shortlisted will a request be made to submit a CV, a list of publications and a laudatory speech.
