In 2027, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities will award, in the field of life sciences and medicine, the
PRIZE OF THE BERLIN-BRANDENBURG ACADEMY OF SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES, ENDOWED BY THE MONIKA KUTZNER FOUNDATION FOR THE PROMOTION OF CANCER RESEARCH
in 2027 in the field of life sciences and medicine, intended to recognise outstanding scientific achievements by young researchers in the field of cancer research. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros and may be awarded annually.
There is no fixed age limit. The prize is aimed at scientists who, at an early stage in their careers, have already distinguished themselves through significant research contributions. The prize-winners should be regarded as ‘young’ in relation to the achievements they have made.
The Academy Prize is intended to honour scientists whose research achievements open up new horizons, thereby marking the moment when new and promising paths are embarked upon. There is no age limit.
To submit a nomination, please first submit the attached form along with a list of the ten most important publications. If a candidate is shortlisted, we will contact the nominators to request the submission of further documentation.

Self-applications for the prize are not possible.
