GI Dissertation Prize

The Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI), together with the Oesterreichische Computergesellschaft (OCG) and the Schweizer Informatik Gesellschaft (SI), annually awards the GI Dissertation Prize for an outstanding dissertation. The dissertation must be in the field of computer science. This includes not only work that represents progress in computer science, but also work from the applications of computer science in other disciplines and work that concerns the interactions between computer science and society.

Dissertations for which the date of the oral examination is between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025 are eligible.
Submission deadline: February 13, 2026
