Outstanding young academics who completed their doctorate no more than seven years ago can be nominated for the Junge Akademie. It should be apparent from their development to date that they have the special prerequisites and the time required for active participation in the Junge Akademie and for its tasks and goals - i.e. the promotion of scientific, in particular interdisciplinary discourse among outstanding young scientists and the promotion of initiatives at the interfaces between science and society. Members of the BBAW, the Leopoldina and the Junge Akademie are eligible to nominate candidates.
