Industrieclub Sachsen Innovation Prize
Industrieclub Sachsen (Industry Club of Saxony) confers its annual Innovation Prize for outstanding dissertations by early-career researchers at TU Dresden, which are distinguished by the notable practical relevance of their innovative topics.
Prize money
The prize is funded by Industrieclub Sachsen and is endowed with 5,000 euros.
Selection
The works must present innovative ideas, application-oriented approaches, or practically exploitable solutions. The practical relevance of theoretical findings must be apparent and ideally proven in an economic experts’ report. Teaching staff at TU Dresden are eligible to submit nominations.
The Jury
In addition to the Rector – the chairwoman of the jury – the selection committee comprises representatives of the Executive Board of Industrieclub Sachsen and teaching staff from the various schools at TU Dresden.
Award Ceremony
The Rector and the President of Industrieclub Sachsen present the prize at an award ceremony.
Call for Applications
The works should have been completed and defended between January and December of the preceding calendar year. Please send nominations along with an expert opinion on the work to the University Executive Board, Office of the Rector / Academic Committees. The application deadline is the end of February of the awarding year.

Dr. Jan Kortmann for his dissertation “Verfahrenstechnische Untersuchungen zur Recyclingfähigkeit von Carbonbeton” (“Process engineering studies of the recyclability of carbon concrete”)
2018
Dr. Bernhard Siegmund for his dissertation “Novel Optical Concepts for Organic Photovoltaics and Photodetection”
