• Objective: The project objective is the establishment of a cross-border academic teaching network in modern plastics technology between the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz and the Technical University Liberec including innovative regional plastics companies and research institutions. Based on existing professional competences and educational concepts, new, joint courses will be developed and expanded into a didactically prepared, cross-border teaching network. The focus of the training is on today's challenges of modern plastics technologies: resource efficiency, automation, function integration and lightweight construction. The aim is to impart technical and didactic skills in the field of novel technologies (e.g. additive processes, textile-reinforced thermoplastics) and modern design concepts (e.g. hybrid designs, multifunctional components, industrial design). Particular importance is attached to the practical scientific training to enable German and Czech students to work in a structured, goal-oriented manner at an international level.

• Objective: The main objective of the project is to contribute significantly to the establishment of a functioning innovation system in the border triangle of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. This innovation system should be characterised by a sustainable and self-driven cooperation between 'transfer promoters' and other actors from science, economy and public administration.  TRANS³Net strengthens the links between these actors, sets the framework conditions for a functioning innovation system and thus promotes innovation capability in Central Europe.

•     Objective: The aim is to preserve the cultural heritage and tourist attractiveness of the tri-border region by rehabilitating 7 monuments and developing a tourist offer in the form of signage for new hiking and cycling routes and developing a tourist app with a database of small monuments in the region. In addition, the development of the cultural landscape in the national park region Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland will be investigated. From the research results, cross-border instructions for action for the maintenance and development planning of the national park administrations are derived.

• Objective: The focus is on establishing and expanding interdisciplinary research cooperation and scientific exchange in the field of building research between the TU Dresden and the TU Liberec. The planned strengthening of cooperation between the universities and the regional economy should contribute to an increase in technology transfer. Ultimately, the project will promote the establishment of the regions as a construction research area.
