Obligation to Provide Information on the Processing of Personal Data Pursuant to the GDPR

Personal data (address, telephone number and email address) is processed exclusively for the purpose of sending a newsletter and invitations by TU Dresden, Patent Information Center, 01062 Dresden, Mr. Matthias Knöbel, tel.: +49 351 463-32791, email: piz@tu-dresden.de. - Data transfer
Unless stipulated otherwise by law or unless you have given your express consent in individual cases, no personal data will be transferred to third parties. - Storage period
Data is stored until it is deemed invalid as a result of failed newsletter delivery or, in individual cases, upon review of an objection. - Legal basis
Personal data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f GDPR. - What general rights do data subjects have?
To claim your rights, it is sufficient to notify the responsible person in writing (email or letter).
1) Right of access to personal data (Art. 15 GDPR):
Data subjects have the right to obtain information on the data processed concerning them, as well as possible recipients of such data, at any time. They are entitled to a reply within one month of the responsible party for the data processing receiving their request for information.
2) Right to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing (Art. 16–18 GDPR)
Data subjects may request that TU Dresden rectify, erase or suspend the processing of their personal data at any time.
3) Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Data subjects have the right to object to the processing of their data.
4) Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR)
Data subjects may contact the Data Protection Officer of TU Dresden and the responsible supervisory authority for data protection at any time.
