TUD experts on the way to industry 4. 0
Hannover: The world's most important industrial fair will open its doors on April 25th 2016. TU Dresden will present selected results of its excellent research at the joint stand "Research for the future".
On the world stage for a connected industry the Institute of Applied Photophysics in alliance with the competence network Organic Electronics Saxony (OES) presents its unique expertise. A very broad range is exhibited: from the analysis of physical properties of organic materials through to the process development and the production of complex components and end products such as solar cells, LEDs and transistors. Green Electronic provides solutions to the questions of the future in the areas of energy, environment, communication, mobility and health. Currently, the research focus is on novel optical sensors and filters, primarily for the infrared range.
The expertise of the scientists of the TU Institute of Manufactoring Technology is also impressive. On the way to the "Industry 4.0" era they research innovative topics such as "technologies for the direct bonding of metal and thermoplastic", "laser welding", "modern facade design", "adhesive bonding of textile-reinforced composite components", "laser cutting of fibre plastic composites", "welding without melting", "friction stir welding", "plasma jet technology" as well as "laser-based methods of large-scale surface structures". Exhibits from the Institute of Machine tools and Control Engineeering complement the exhibition presence of our TU researchers this year.
Would you like to find out more about the exhibits of the TU experts? Until 29th April you are able to visit the TU Dresden exhibiters at the joint stand "Research for the future" in Hall 2 (Stand A38).
