Composites Europe: TU Dresden offers excellent projects
Under the leadership of Prof. Hubert Jäger, the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology is presenting its expertise in function-integrated lightweight system construction in multi-material design in the Stuttgart exhibition halls. In their research on lightweight structures and systems designed to withstand stress, TUD experts pursue a cross-material and cross-product approach.
The scientists of the Institute of Machine Tools and Control Engineering are also experienced in the trade fair business. Together with Detact, they are demonstrating the most comprehensive IoT dashboard for the digitisation and optimisation of process chains in injection molding and die casting processes on the Stuttgart exhibition floor. Detact collects all relevant data of complex process chains and processes them into customised analysis and diagnostic apps for engineers and plant operators. The dashboard simplifies usage, reduces resource consumption, downtime and scrap, as well as critical stress situations. Detact was developed by Symate, a TU Dresden spin-off.
Smart founders are also involved in the third TU exhibit. Herone GmbH, a spin-off from the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology offers thermoplastic composite profiles with tailor-made performance. The development team convinces with integral construction, high quality, and controllable series production.
Did we spark your interest in the exhibits at TU Dresden? For further information, please contact the exhibiting scientists of the Dresden alma mater from 5th to 8th November at the joint Research for the Future stand in hall 7 (stand E 66).
