Visualization of research findings is essential at all steps of a scientific project: in hypothesis generation, data exploration, and communication of results through figures, posters and talk-slides. In the course, we will learn essentials of designing truthful and insightful visualizations. This includes choosing the right display type for your data, graphic design principles that increase legibility of visualizations, and ethical usage and preparation of image and charts. IMPORTANT: Participants are required to share their own work in progress: examples of a slides, poster figure, or figure for a paper that they are currently working on. |
