PhD-Project Management

At the start of a PhD project, one is usually very focused on the research work. Viewing the PhD as a project, however, will help doctoral candidates to plan the work for the next months and years and to organize and structure the work successfully.
In this workshop the focus will be on individual needs of the participants to structure and plan their PhD project.
The workshop starts with some short exercises to give an overview regarding project management as it relates to the PhD projects. Moreover, a number of tools will be presented. There will be the opportunity to try out  these new skills to the individual projects. On the second day of the workshop, all participants are invited to present both their PhD project management during the workshop and to provide each other with collegial feedback.
This workshop addresses doctoral candidates in an early stage of their work as well as those who have to re-plan or adjust their research project for different reasons in a later stage of the PhD. After this workshop, everybody has his/her own PhD project managed in accordance to the specific needs .
