Introduction to Data Analysis with SPSS

SPSS is a tool for the statistical analysis of data. It allows performing a wide variety of statistical procedures. Main objective of the course is to provide participants with a basic knowledge of the program in order to be able to use it in own data analyses.

Topics include the following:

• Main features of SPSS
• Data handling in SPSS
• Graphics in SPSS
• Descriptive analyses with SPSS
• Common parametric tests (t-tests)
• Simple correlation analyses
• Basics of SPSS syntax

This workshop addresses researchers interested in SPSS with basic statistical knowledge, but without previous experiences in SPSS. Participants will work independently under instructions at the computer.
