This workshop is designed for project managers and work package owners in research. It focusses on two aspects: we provide you a broad understanding of the project management principles and we build skills on how to lead the project team. On the basis of your real projects, we cover an basic understanding of project management planning tools. We also reflect how to establish a well-functioning project organization with clear responsibilities of each partner. You learn how to classify the risks and to apply appropriate tools for controlling the progress and how to deal with deviations. We show you why an active stakeholder management is crucial for the success of your project and how you can apply it systematically. In addition, you learn how to lead the project team members and create a motivating mindset for the people working on your project and how to managing low performance. The workshop focuses on the real life projects of each participant. You will have the opportunity to present the status quo of your project (along a specific focus), and discuss challenging situations with the trainer as well as sharing best practices with other colleagues. |
