GA Money Monday: Funding your doctorate – Understanding funding announcements and mastering grant applications

This seminar aims to offer prospective doctoral candidates and PhD students in the initial stage of their doctorate an overview of the variety of funding formats within the German funding landscape and to strengthen their application skills. Through hands-on exercises and questions of reflection you will be instructed to read calls for application analytically, to work out core requirements and to strategically plan and implement grant applications.

The following topics will be discussed:
- How and where can you find a suitable scholarship and funding program?
- Which application requirements are given? Which content and form conditions? Can  you fulfill these? Of which resources do you dispose?
- How do you write a research proposal, a time and work schedule?
- Who are the reviewers? According to which evaluation criteria will your application be evaluated?

Please bring your own laptop or tablet with you and make sure access via Eduroam is possible.
