Classical Philology/Latin Studies
Latin Studies in Dresden deals in general with the Latin literature of Roman antiquity and in particular with that of the late Republic and early Imperial period. In addition to the teaching of the Latin language and traditional philological methods, more recent cultural and literary approaches are also the subject of research and teaching. As part of the teacher training program, specific subject didactics are also offered. In addition, the diverse objects embedded in the ancient world allow for research with an interdisciplinary character, to which Latin Studies contributes and from which it benefits.
