Call for Participation: Science Slam 2026 - Spotlight on female scientists!

At the Science Slam 2025 in Dresden, a speaker stands at the front of a lecture hall and encourages the audience to raise their arms. Many participants join in, creating an energetic, interactive atmosphere.

Putting research in the spotlight - that is the goal of the Science Slam at the Dresden Science Night on 26.06.2026. The Science Slam offers female scientists a unique stage to present their research to a wide audience in a creative, understandable and entertaining way. Research comes to life: Female scientists present their work on stage, making it exciting, comprehensible and tangible for everyone.

The challenge: to get to the heart of complex content in just ten minutes - in an understandable, clear and entertaining way - and thus inspire the audience.

The presentation style is freely selectable and offers a great deal of creative freedom: in addition to humor, experiments and storytelling, props, technical aids, music or performative elements such as dance can also be incorporated. A free preparation workshop and an individual coaching offer are available to support preparation.
