Prof. Luisa Giacoma, studied German and Romance languages, and taught as an Eleonore Trefftz Visiting Professor at TU Dresden. She worked closely with Prof. Maria Lieber, Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies. In addition to her teaching duties, she led the workshop "Tradurre l'Europa, Capirsi per comprendersi / Verstehen, um sich zu verständigen" - (Understand to be understood) – a creative dialog between Germany and Italy.

She comments on her stay: "At TUD, I was able to work much more efficiently and in a more organized way than in Italy. This led in every respect to results that I had never achieved before in such a short time.  The library facilities are excellent and allowed me to continue my research at every stage."

Today, she is closely associated with TU Dresden as aRegional Ambassador . She is always available to build bridges between TUD members, the city of Dresden and Italy.
