Major milestone for equality at the TUD
The TUD Dresden University of Technology has published its new Equality Concept 2025 - a significant step towards the further development of a university culture that promotes diversity and equal opportunities.
The concept was developed in a participatory process involving numerous experts and interest groups from all member groups. It forms the strategic basis for systematically and sustainably anchoring equality at the TUD.
The aim of the Equality Concept is to shape the structural framework conditions in such a way that all members of the university can develop equally - regardless of gender, origin or identity - because excellent teaching, research and transfer are created where different perspectives, experiences and talents come together.
On the basis of a strengths and weaknesses analysis, strategic goals were formulated in five areas of activity, with a total of 51 planned measures contributing to their implementation.
The successful implementation of the concept requires equality to be understood as a joint cross-sectional task and actively promoted. All members of the TUD are invited to participate in the implementation of the gender equality measures.
