Interview with Arjama Mukherjee about a U_CODE participation project in Kenya

Arjama Mukherjee is a member of the OPUS (Operations and Unit and Services Unit of U_CODE) research team at WISSENSARCHITEKTUR - Laboratory of Knowledge Architecture, which organizes citizen participation workshops in international cooperation projects using the U_CODE co-design tool developed in-house.
In an interview with the online magazine "Democracy Technologies", she and Titus Kaloki (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung) talk about a pilot project in Nakuru City, Kenya. They explain how the cooperation with the up-and-coming city came about via the foundation's Just City program and how the "Transformative Change Making" methodology works.
Workshops with local facilitators, a digital 3D model and specially developed icons, it also enables children, young people, the elderly and illiterate people to contribute their ideas and wishes to urban planning.
