Art Meets Religion: Correggio, *The Madonna of St. Francis*

As part of the special exhibition “Correggio: Touchingly Human” at the Gallery of Old Masters, two of the artist’s works will be discussed in detail during the gallery talks. This fall, “The Madonna of St. Francis” will be examined in greater detail here. The focus will be particularly on the person and history of the saint, who is known, among other things, for founding a religious order.
