6 Years of TUDiSC: Behind the Scenes on the TUDiSC Filming Day
Democratic institutions face significant challenges. Political movements and ideas spread rapidly across borders, digital networks are transforming public discourse, and technological developments are raising new questions about responsibility and accountability. How can society make sense of such profound changes?
In recent years, scholars from various disciplines have addressed these and other questions within the TUDiSC research network. The focus has been on how “disruption” can contribute as a fundamental category for studying social change. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the network examined the prerequisites, dynamics, and consequences of disruptive processes, integrating political, economic, social, and cultural perspectives.
As the project comes to a close, the focus now turns back to the past few years: to the collaborative research, diverse perspectives, and the questions that have engaged the network.
A video, which will be released in the coming weeks, offers insights into the network’s work and features some of the participating researchers speaking for themselves. They discuss their research, their perspectives on social change, and what has shaped their collaborative work at TUDiSC. A few shots from the day of filming, presented here, already offer a first glimpse behind the scenes of the production.
