The tjg. is looking for a project manager for diversity processes
Our project Kunst und Kultur in der polarisierten Stadt takes as its starting point the tendencies of social division that have become apparent in recent years and the increase in conflictual discursive disputes and examines the significance of art and culture in the process of social understanding.
The tjg. theater junge generation also deals with the mediation of diversity in cultural institutions. From 2018 to 2022, the tjg. will participate in the programme 360° – Fonds für Kulturen der neuen Stadtgesellschaft of the Federal Cultural Foundation and is looking for a project manager.
The tjg. theatre junge generation, an institution of the state capital Dresden, was founded in 1949 and is one of the largest children's and youth theatres in Germany with its three sections - drama, puppet theatre and theatre academy - and over 600 performances a year. We perform for children, young people and families on three stages in the Kraftwerk Mitte, which opened in 2016, and have more than 90,000 visitors per season. In our artistic works on stage, we depict social issues in their complexity. It is important to us to meet children and young people at eye level in our artistic mediation offers in watching and doing and to offer them opportunities for co-determination.
From 2018 to 2022, the tjg. will participate in the programme „360° – Fonds für Kulturen der neuen Stadtgesellschaft“ of the Federal Cultural Foundation. The aim of the programme is to promote the diversity-oriented opening of cultural institutions. The tjg. would like to position itself once again as a place in urban society where diversity is reflected in a special way for audiences, artists and all employees. We want to break down barriers to access, we want to open up, change and be stimulated.
