We are very pleased to welcome another fellow of the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) at the Center for Integration Studies: Tamar Tskhovrebadze works as a representative on gender issues at the Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia, an institution that monitors and controls the protection of human rights and freedoms in Georgia. There she is mainly responsible for gender equality issues, especially in the UN project "Good Governance for Gender Equality in Georgia". Her role is to enforce the right to equal treatment and equality, to examine and respond to the violations of rights on the grounds of gender, including gender identity and sexual orientation, and to raise awareness to strengthen gender equality in Georgia. At the Center for Integration Studies, she will work in particular on the Refugee Law Clinic Dresden (RLCD) and East German Migration Society (MigOst) project.
