Wie wollen wir zusammen leben? - Invitation to the first citizens' discussion in the tram
On 15 January 2018, the tram will become a discussion tour. During a special tour, interested citizens will have the opportunity to talk to scientists from TU Dresden. Together, they will reflect on our future coexistence and discuss questions such as: What are the visions for future coexistence in our city? What do the citizens want? What does "being a stranger" mean? How can "foreignness" be overcome?
The citizens' discussion in the tram starts at 3 pm at the main station (tram stop 10 in the direction of Striesen). The TUD scientists and the citizens will travel together on the city ring road via the Albert Bridge to the Marien Bridge back to the main station. Among others, Prof. Gerhard Ehninger, co-founder of "Dresden Place to be e.V.", Anna-Maria Schielicke, research assistant at the Institute for Communication Science and Markus Tiedemann, professor of philosophy at the TU Dresden, will be available as discussion partners.
The Citizens' Dialogue is not only an opportunity for interested citizens to address questions to experts from the scientific community, but also a space for equal exchange in which both sides benefit from each other. Every citizen is an expert in his or her everyday life: his or her experiences can give new impulses to research. At the same time, scientists can initiate new food for thought.
The citizens' discussion is an event in the project „Courage - wissen, sehen, handeln!“ and takes place in cooperation with the Dresden public transport companies. The project „Courage - wissen, sehen, handeln!“ takes place in cooperation with the contact point "We Care" and the Centre for Continuing Education at the TU Dresden. It is financed within the framework of the initiative budget of the Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art 2017.
