TU Dresden stands for a tolerant and open society, for humanity, and for cosmopolitanism. Our University is a place of scientific discourse; a state governed by the rule of law is the prerequisite for the inviolable freedom of research and teaching. Therefore, as School of humanities and social sciences, we regard it as our social responsibility to analyse societal processes in accordance with the rules of good scientific practice, and to contribute to the understanding of these processes.
The University is reflecting the diversity and complexity of our society. This holds true also for the variety of opinions coexisting at TU Dresden. The right of expression needs to be respected, at the same time TU Dresden is expecting its staff to comply to the constitutional values.
