"Supporting care facilities on their way to becoming learning organizations in the context of VETSD"

PalO aims to promote and establish sustainable vocational training in care facilities. Over the course of three years, the project supports a provider of practical nursing training in the Erzgebirge district in the further development of future-oriented and sustainable educational concepts. Together with the practical instructors, who play a key role, the management as well as the nurses and trainees, lifelong learning structures will be expanded and the acquisition of new skills will be promoted throughout the professional career. This ties in with the European Commission's goal of integrating lifelong learning even more strongly into further education and training programs. PalO acts as a resource for overcoming the challenges in nursing practice and supports the network partner in its further development into a learning organization. This process is to be initiated and supported through the analysis and further development of internal hospital training programs, such as 24-hour training for practice instructors and the establishment of communities of practice.
