Module 3 - Design and manufacture of a technical object (EW-SEGS-D-WER-3)

The module covers the design and manufacture of technical objects according to aesthetic, earmarked and economic aspects.
After completing the module, students will have the skills and abilities to understand the function and structure of technical objects, to design them and to manufacture products from various materials using their manual skills. They are familiar with framework conditions at school and can develop interdisciplinary or work-specific objects for use in the classroom on this basis.

Students are able to observe relevant safety regulations and rules for accident prevention and occupational safety when handling tools, equipment and teaching media during production processes. They are able to select and present relevant specialist content appropriately.

The module consists of a seminar and an exercise:
Fundamentals of Aesthetic Design (EW-SEGS-D-WER-3(1)) in the summer semester and
Production of a technical object (EW-SEGS-D-WER-3(2)) in the winter semester.
