Colloquium for exam candidates and doctoral students WTH/S and works
Colloquium for exam candidates and doctoral students WTH/S and WERKEN
The aim of the colloquium is to strengthen students, doctoral candidates and supervisors in their academic work through exchange, as well as to provide information on the form and content of theses.
The content includes the graduates' research projects, thematic focuses and current academic trends and publications from the field.
The course is open to all students from the 5th semester and also serves as an orientation/gathering of ideas for their own thesis. The course is part of the supervision service in the context of scientific theses in the subject WTH/S or works. Candidates who wish to write their thesis in the subject should present their project (any stage of completion) at least once - registrations must be made in good time.
As a rule, the first colloquium of the semester serves as an orientation on examination performance and examination formats in the state examination from the point of view of the subject WTH/S or Works and as an overview.
The courses usually take place in presence. Two pieces of work can be presented and discussed per session. Participants can provide the other participants with their texts (ideas/research/data for the exam paper, draft essays, exposés, dissertation chapters, etc.) in preparation for the respective session.
In the session, the topic is presented in plenary for about 15-20 minutes and then discussed together.
