1st state competition WTH 2015
On May 6, 2015, the state business-technology-budget competition took place for the first time. Twelve pupils from secondary schools in Saxony qualified by taking part in the regional competitions - three of them girls.
The competition is made possible thanks to the commitment of the teacher training program for the subject of Economics-Technology-Budget at the TUD Dresden University of Technology, the subject advisors for WTH/TC and a large number of volunteer experts and individuals. Its dissemination and establishment is supported by the Saxon State Ministry.
Partners of the state competition
- Dresden Chamber of Crafts
- Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce
- Companies from the Saxon economy.
The school pre-selection has a particularly broad function, taking into account local opportunities. The regional competition acts as an intermediary between the school pre-selection and the state competition. It incorporates regional aspects. The state competition has the task of promoting talent and serves as an orientation for the content and organization of the school preselection and the regional competitions.
In the 2014/2015 school year, a state-wide student comparison for pupils from Saxon secondary schools in the subject areas of business, technology, household/social affairs took place for the first time. It was possible to build on the experience of the "Dresden Technology Competition" and "WTH/S Performance Competition" from the Bautzen regional office.
