Open LuFo

During open workshop hours, the LuFo is primarily open to students in Teacher Training – Elementary Schools for independent work, discovery, and experimentation. Whether you’re working alone or with others—just stop by and take advantage of the LuFo’s spaces, materials, and resources for your studies and your own ideas.
What can I do during the open LuFo hours?
Use the open LuFo to…
- work & learn —on your own or with others,
- discover & experiment with materials —browse, try things out, and find inspiration,
- develop your own ideas —plan lesson ideas and design materials,
- use specialized literature —conduct research and explore subject-specific and pedagogical topics.
When is LuFo open?
During the break between semesters, LuFo is open every Wednesday. You can find the current opening times in the LuFo calendar.
During the semester, LuFo is regularly open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the following times:

Good to Know
No registration is required for the open LuFo. The workstations and workspaces can be used without a reservation for studying, collaborative work, or experimenting.
Consumables as well as laminating, die-cutting, binding, and cutting machines are available for creating your own materials. Please bring your own machine-specific materials, such as laminating film or binding supplies.
Our student staff members are on site during open workshop hours. They’ll help you get oriented, assist you in finding suitable materials, and are happy to offer advice.
