Research colloquium for student teachers
Teacher training students are often left to their own devices when writing their empirical state examination thesis. The Educational Science Teaching and Research Workshop (Erziehungswissenschaftliche Lehr- und Forschungswerkstatt, ELF) aims to remedy this situation and offers a place and space in which the process of writing a state examination thesis is focused on in a peer format (by students for students) and with the in a targeted manner support of lecturers.
The aim of the seminar is to support students in the organization and writing of state examination theses. In the first sessions, short impulses on the organization of the state examination thesis, the creation of a research question, scientific writing and an overview of research methods are planned. The main part of the seminar is made up of meetings for exchange in peer format, which take place weekly in small groups. Needs-oriented hurdles in the process of writing the state examination thesis can be discussed and solutions can be sought and implemented together.
Thanks to funding from FOSTER, we have been able to offer this seminar since the summer semester 2023 and can continue to do so until 2025.
